In God we Trust

The United States is the world's leading Christian country, with 7 out of 10 Americans believing in God, according to a 2014 Gallup poll.

IN GOD WE TRUST is an exploration of American society through a religious prism.

In this report, I am interested in the way in which religious provision (exclusively of the Protestant persuasion: more than 70% of American believers) is reinventing itself as liberalism evolves. It targets different segments of American society using strategies borrowed from market conquest techniques, in order to optimise the evangelism process. This report presents a number of groups or niches with original and sometimes unusual characteristics that are targeted by the churches. These groups are true indicators of the evolution of American society and include a creationist ark, a naturist church, a cowboy church, a pastor on a bicycle, an amusement park on the life of Jesus, a megachurch for atheists, a drive-in church, etc...
