France Magique
This photographic series, produced in part as part of the BNF's major assignment, is a visual exploration aimed at mapping the fantastic world of France today.
Through portraits and scenes of healers, sorcerers, dowsers, fire cutters, shamans, telepaths, druids and exorcists, we plunge into a world where ancestral traditions coexist with modern beliefs. The series also examines the influence of the modern world on these mystical practices, revealing how new beliefs and customs shape and transform the fantastic. Blending the mysterious past and present, this cartography of the invisible offers a fresh look at the myths and realities that continue to nourish the collective imagination in France.
