WELCOME TO THE MOONLIGHT ROLLERWAY

Where nothing has changed since 1956

Since 1956, roller skating lovers have been meeting at Moonlight Rollerway. This famous roller skating rink located in Glendale, less than one hour north of Los Angeles, was installed in 1956 in a former hangar designed to build fighter aircraft parts during the Second World War.

Formerly known as Harry’s Roller Rink, the Moonlight rollerway has remained in its original state, with the exception of some contributions from the intermediate decades such as faceted balls, a rainbow rug from the 1980s, a digital photo booth and of course the 84-year-old Dominic Cangelosi, the owner.
Dominic started working there in 1960 as a Hammon organ player. In 1980, he had enough savings to buy the place back.
On Tuesday evenings, sommetimes he plays keyboard for nostalgic roller skaters.
